I've always been intrigued by how affordable Jesse's Girl products are. What's surprising is that the company actually churns out good quality products and not some crappy dollar store quality cosmetics. In particular, the Jesse's Girl Backstage Collection palettes were a pleasant surprise. Jesse's Girl came up with the Backstage Collection that features two eyeshadow palette- the Sounds of the City which comprise of cool neutral to smoky shades, and the Natural Nudes palette, composed of warmer neutrals.

As you can see in the swatches above, the shadows are pigmented and they have good staying power, especially with a primer. What I like about the shadows is that some of the shadows are neither too matte nor too shimmery. I really like the pearlescent sheen of the some of the lighter colors in both palettes. Some of the shadows are matte, which is great to balance the other eyeshadows that have a bit of sheen to them.
