Londontown Lakur Nail Lacquers in Changing of the Guards, Cockney Glam, Chivvy Along and Cheerio
There's a new nail polish in town! I was able to try to try four of these polishes, and I was intrigued about this brand because it claims that their formula is chip-and-fade-resistant. Moreover, they are marketed as "Big 5-free", which is right up my alley. This means that this polish formula does not contain the five toxic chemicals: toluene, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin or camphor, which are known carcinogens.
Here are my swatches and my final thoughts can be found at the bottom of this post.
Londontown Lakur in Cockney Glam
Londontown Lakur in Cockney Glam is my favorite shade out of the four Londontown Lakurs that I got. First of all, it is such a dream to apply, very smooth and the brush applies the product easily on the nails. The formula is opaque in 1-2 coats. Cockney Glam is a stunning deep burgundy duochrome that flashes gold or green in some angles. This is such a beautiful color.
Londontown Lakur in Cheerio (ring and pinky finger: sandwiched a glitter topper in between two coats of Cheerio)
Londontown Lakur in Cheerio is a delicate pinkish white jelly. This is perfect for jelly sandwiches - sandwiching a glitter in between two coats of the polish, like I did in the swatches above. This is not a very unique shade, though - I have similar shades from a lot of different nail polish brands. However, I like that this is the perfect go-to polish if I want a clean, fuss-free nail look.
Londontown Lakur in Changing of the Guards
Londontown Lakur in Changing of the Guards is your quintessential red cream. It is a very bright, fire engine red, and it is such a classic color that you can never go wrong with it.
Londontown Lakur in Chivvy Along
Londontown Lakur in Chivvy Along is a deep forest green cream. It is not a very unique color, but the formula is great; it applies easily and doesn't pool on the cuticles.
All in all, formula of Londontown Lakur is fantastic: it glides like a dream on the nails, very pigmented and fully opaque in 1-2 coats, and just generally an easy to apply formula. The only downside is the price: it retails for $16 each, but the dreamy formula and pigmented colors can be truly worth the try.
You can purchase the Londontown Lakurs on the Londontown website.
