I usually prefer MAC's full size brushes, as they are undoubtedly better in quality compared to these machine-cut travel brushes that they come out during the holiday season.
This particular kit interested me, though, because I most often use these brushes for travel. When I travel out-of-town, I always need a blush brush, and this kit has the 129SE Power/Blush Brush. I also need an eye shadow brush that packs on the lid color, and the 213SE Fluff Brush fits the bill. I also need a crease brush to blend the crease color and to blend harsh edges. This kit has the 224SE Tapered Blending Brush to do that job. Lastly, I need an eye liner brush to apply my MAC Fluidline gel liner, and this kit comes with the 209SE eye liner brush. The only brush that I don't regularly use is the 190SE Foundation Brush, but I figured I can use this to set my undereye concealer with translucent powder, or to spot-conceal blemishes.
All in all, I think out of all the MAC brush kits available this holiday season, this is the brush kit that I will be able to use the most, just because it has most of the essential brushes that I use on a daily basis.
By the way, this kit comes in a little vintage-y white bag that looks really posh. I just don't like the fact that it's white, because I know it will look dirty and dingy after a while.
The MAC Keepsakes Brush Kits are available North America October 23, 2014, and International November 2014, for $52.50 US / $63 CAD.
