I guess Zoya realized that the Pixie Dusts were some of the most popular finishes/polishes that they have come up in a while, that they decided to come up with another trio of the cult favorite, this time in fall colors! These are called Zoya Ultra PixieDusts. I noticed that these did not apply as gritty as the past Pixie Dusts, they fall flatter on the nails instead of being gritty and rough.
Here are the predominantly red-based Zoya Ultra PixieDusts for Fall 2014, and my thoughts on them.
Zoya Ariana
Zoya Ariana
Zoya Ariana
Zoya Ariana is a berry jelly base composed of berry red glitter. As I'd mentioned, the glitter falls flat on the nailbed instead of being gritty and raised up like the past Pixie Dusts. I do like the color, though, and I like how the red glitter stands out against the jelly base.
Zoya Noir
Zoya Noir looks so Halloween-y! It's in a dark plummy base with red glitter. So pretty! I love how the red glitter stands out against the dark base. This is my favorite in the collection.
Zoya Oswin
Zoya Oswin
Zoya Oswin is a much brighter red base with red glitter as compared to Zoya Ariana. They are however pretty similar when seen from afar. Oswin feels grittier in texture compared to Ariana and Noir, but still beautiful nonetheless.
If you love plum and reds and you like the Pixie Dust finish, this collection is definitely for you. If you didn't like the super tactile and gritty feeling of the past Pixie Dust collection, you'll love the fact that the gritty texture has been toned down in this Zoya Fall 2014 Ultra PixieDust collection. I especially like Noir and Oswin. These polishes are now available on Zoya.com for $10 each.
