As we all know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. BCA is a cause near to my heart, mainly because breast cancer claimed the life of my mom many years ago, and my best friend and my close friend are breast cancer survivors. Let us not stop until we find a cure for this horrible disease.
China Glaze comes up with a collection honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Month that has a beautiful name - Celebrate Courage - and courage is exactly what those who encountered BC in their lives have. This collection has a white and pink color theme, in honor of BCA. Here are my swatches of the China Glaze Celebrate Courage collection, and my thoughts on these.
China Glaze Sheer Bliss
China Glaze Sheer Bliss
China Glaze Sheer Bliss is a matte white with an opalescent flash to it. It looks very weird to me when the finish is matte, so I would always apply a topcoat over it. It is a very good base for nail stamp art or any glitter topper, though.
China Glaze Carpe Diem
China Glaze Carpe Diem is a super light lilac that is almost white. This is amazing as a base for glitter toppers and nail art too. This also dries to a matte finish.
China Glaze Rich & Famous
China Glaze Rich & Famous
China Glaze Rich & Famous is a pretty midtone Barbie pink creme. This is part of the permanent collection, I believe, as I've had this particular color for several years now. This is also one of my favorites from this collection
China Glaze Life Is Beautiful
China Glaze Life Is Beautiful is the perfect pale pink for me - it dries matte but I prefer it with topcoat. As you can see in the swatches above, it makes for a good base for nail art or glitter topcoat. It is so very feminine and I just love it!
China Glaze Make An Entrance
China Glaze Make An Entrance is a darker version of Rich & Famous - but still in the same pink color family. It has a fabulous creme finish. It's very girly and pretty on the nails. I believe this is also part of the permanent collection.
China Glaze Strawberry Fields
China Glaze Strawberry Fields is a pink base with gold flashes of micro-glitter. It's also part of the permanent collection, and a very popular color from China Glaze.
All in all, I am definitely loving this pink and white collection. My favorites are Carpe Diem, Life is Beautiful, Rich & Famous. I do like the lighter ones the best, particularly e Carpe Diem, Life is Beautiful. While I don't care for the matte finish, I can easily remedy that by applying topcoat.
Which ones are your favorite from the China Glaze Celebrate Courage collection?

You might be my new girl crush. I love your make up desk and your husband's work with the mirror is brilliant. I was looking for a DIY idea for a portable mirror with lights when I stumbled upon your photo. Now I'm fully inspired!
I am really loving the set up for you vanity desk with professional mirror and thoughtful placement of your products. I need something like this so very badly. A vanity such as this would help solve my clutter problem, along with my going into different rooms of my house seeking out the right lighting and mirror!
Any good types you'd like to pass on to me about where to buy, best quality, size, etc.
I'd love to hear any suggestions that you might have for me! Thank you! Michelle Ventresca
