As I've mentioned in my MAC The Simpsons Collection Swatches and Video Review, the eye shadow quads from this collection are housed in horizontal compacts, much like the one from MAC Wonder Woman and MAC Archie's Girls Collections.  I think MAC uses this kind of packaging for more "special" collections.  Since this collection is in honor of The Simpsons' 25th anniversary, I think it's just apt to celebrate using this eye shadow quad - a sturdier metal case with a mirror inside.

The MAC The Simpsons collection has two quads, That Trillion Dollar Look Quad (the green palette) and Marge's Extra Ingredients (the pink and purple palette).

That Trillion Dollar Look quad features Lisa's Spikes, a lime green frost, Apple Squishee, a mid-tone kelly green frost, 2 Dozen and One Greyhounds, a dirty olive green in the veluxe pearl formula, and Chalkboard Dreams, a deep-blackened teal in the velvet formula.

As I said in my video review, I prefer this quad over the pink and purple quad, just because I like wearing green as it complements brown eyes.  My only gripe is that 2 Dozen and One Greyhounds, the dirty olive green, wasn't that deep enough for the crease in my opinion.  I needed a deeper crease color to blend with Chalkboard Dreams, the blackened teal.

If you like pinks and plums, you will like MAC Marge's Extra Ingredients quad.  My favorite is Harpooned Heart, a light baby pink lustre that is a great browbone and inner color highlighter.  Sexy PB&J is a mid-tone bright violet, Beehive Blue is a bright blue in the veluxe pearl, another favorite of mine, and Vivacious Vacuum Cleaner Bag, a deep navy frost.

These quads retail for $44 US each, and are now available in stores and online in North America.
