Lipstick Queen Let Them Eat Cake

Lipstick Queen Let Them Eat Cake

I was able to try the new lipstick on the block - a very luxurious, lavish lipstick both in look and feel.  Lipstick Queen comes in a very posh packaging: from the velvet feel of the box to the cold, sleek, metallic tube, the brand screams luxury.

Paying homage to Marie Antoinette's lavish lifestyle, Lipstick Queen founder Poppy King created this ground-breaking lipstick that bespeaks luxurious rebellion and decadence.

This particular color is a beautiful lavender shimmer called Let Them Eat Cake.  It's in the exact shade of lavender that I like - a cool, rosy lavender with a definite lilac shade.  It has a metallic finish to give an edgy vibe to it.

Wearing Lipstick Queen in Let Them Eat Cake

As you can see, Lipstick Queen Let Them Eat Cake is a truly metallic lilac that turns heads.  The shimmer particles provide a soft-focus effect that creates the illusion of full, luscious lips.  Even though this lipstick was launched during the summer, it can definitely carry itself through fall and the cooler months.  The shimmer and the rosey hue have a festive air about them, so you can definitely use this for the upcoming festivities and holidays.

What is great about Let Them Eat Cake is that it can also be a topper, or lipstick topcoat.  If you have a matte lipstick and you want to give some oomph to it, apply Let Them Eat Cake over it for a pearlescent effect.  As the lipstick fades, you will notice that the pearl pigments linger, so it really does look so posh and eye-catching.

Let Them Eat Cake, a Limited Edition lipstick, retails for $45 and is available on LipstickQueen.com, Spake NK stores Nationwide, spacenk.com, Barneys New York and Barneys.com.
