Do you have that old, reliable product that's always there for you, a constant in your daily life that you almost forget it's there? It's always there for you no matter what, that you forget how good it was, and don't acknowledge its existence until you run out of it?
That's how I feel sometimes with Olay. I've used the Olay Complete All Day Moisturizer on a regular basis for a decade now, and I use it everyday on my neck (and sometimes face), that I forget I have it until I realize I'm running low on the product. Then it hits me: I can't live without this thing! It's the most basic part of my daily routine: I slather Olay on my face or neck to both moisturize and add sunscreen to my skin to protect it from the sun's harmful rays.
Now, Olay Complete has two "sisters" - they're from the Olay Total Effects 7-in-one Anti Aging Moisturizer with Sunscreen line. One has SPF 15 and the other SPF 30 protection, and one has a subtle fragrance and the other is fragrance free. Both come with a pump which is extra sanitary, and the brand's claims about these products are seen below:
-Rapidly fights 7 signs of aging: fine lines and wrinkles, age spots, uneven texture, dryness, free radical damage, dullness, pores
-Broad-spectrum SPF 15 sunscreen helps protect against the sun's harmful rays
-Proven, vitamin-rich complex is fragrance-free and helps defend against surface free radical damage that can age the look of your skin
I have to say that during the hot, harsh summer in Arizona, I don't use anything with sunscreen less than SPF30, so my favorite from this line right now is the Olay Total Effects 7-in-one Anti Aging Moisturizer with Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF30. This is the one that has the subtle scent, but I don't mind it at all. It has a rather thick consistency which I really like, because it infuses moisture into the skin and clears up my dry patches. However, it doesn't make my face look greasy, which is important to me because I use this product as a base for my makeup.
I use the Olay Total Effects 7-in-one Anti Aging Fragrance Free Moisturizer with Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF15 for my neck area (I use the SPF30 one for my face), and I also will save this product for winter when the sun is not so harsh out here (I don't think SPF15 is adequate for my sunscreen needs as of the moment). This also has the same thick, generous texture of its SPF30 sister, and it also does not feel greasy when applied.
I have not used the Olay Total Effects 7 Anti-Aging Moisturizer With Sunscreen to vouch for its claims in fighting the 7 signs of aging, but since I've been using the Olay Complete All Day Moisturizer for years now, I think Olay is the golden standard when it comes to simple, straight-forward anti-aging skincare. Olay so far has saved my skin from deep wrinkles, and I don't have premature wrinkling which I am thankful for. Sunscreen and moisture are the two important factors when it comes to skincare, and Olay has always delivered when it comes to these.
The Olay Total Effects 7-in-one Anti Aging Moisturizer (both variants) retails for around $19 a pop (1.7 fl. oz), while Olay Complete retails for around $9 and are available at your leading drug stores and retailers.
