To tell you honestly, I have not used NYC Cosmetics. I don't even remember the last time I used one of their products. That is why when I was asked to do this post, I was really looking forward to trying out one of the lesser known brands (to me). I see this brand all over drugstores and I believe ULTA, but I've never had the opportunity to try the products. Until now.
Today I have four different products from NYC New York Color Cosmetics to show you - the CityProof Twistable Intense Lip Crayon, the NYC Expert Last Lip Color Lipstick, the Volumizing Mascara and the Liquid Eye Liner.
Since I gravitated toward the lip colors, let's start with these first!

I was able to try the NYC Expert Last Lipsticks in Forever Fuchsia, Coralista and Traffic Jam. As their name suggests, these are a bright fuchsia, a beautiful coral and a traffic-stopping red. These have a little bit of a shine to them so that they look more luscious on the lips. These are my first foray into NYC lipsticks and I can honestly say that I am truly impressed. They have great pigmentation, have good staying power and lasting shine on the lips. I am particularly in love with Forever Fuchsia. These are amazing lip colors that are very affordable! They retail for $1.96 a pop. If that's not affordable, I don't know what is!
These three colors are new lip colors that are perfect for heralding the coming of spring (and summer). I am particularly liking the fact that these have good staying power. NYC claims that it lasts as long as 6 hours, and the lasting power does come close to that.

These NYC CityProof Twistable Intense Lip Crayons are my favorite! They have amazing pigmentation and glide like butter on the lips. I love both the nude and vibrant shade of pinkish red that I have. I want to get some more of these colors, as they are truly flattering on the lips and provide luscious shine. That will thankfully not break the bank, as these babies are only $2.88 each!

I was also able to try the NYC Liquid Eye Liner in 888 Pearlized Black and Showtime Volumizing Mascara. The Liquid Liner is perfect for me to create precise, crisp lines, as I prefer to use that on my upper lashline. I am using the Eye Liner in the photos above, and I like that the Pearlized Black is a softer black so it doesn't look too harsh. The Showtime Volumizing Mascara gives my short, sparse lashes the volume boost it needs, without looking spidery.
