HOURGLASS Ambient Lighting Blush in Radiant Magenta, Diffused Heat and Mood Exposure
HOURGLASS Ambient Lighting Blush in Radiant Magenta, Diffused Heat and Mood Exposure
I know my review is a bit late in the beauty blogging world, but let me throw in my two cents! I bought these during the Sephora 15% off sale a couple of months ago, and I'd been enjoying them eversince. These are the immensely popular HOURGLASS Ambient Lighting blush. The reason they're so in-demand is that they give off a kiss of color and this ethereal glow on the cheeks that is neither too glitter nor shimmery. The radiant glow is just obvious to the observer without it looking too garish or obvious.
I got three of the Ambient Lighting Blushes, namely Radiant Magenta, Diffused Heat and Mood Exposure. Below are close-up shots and swatches of the HOURGLASS Ambient Lighting Blushes, as well as my thoughts on these.

Wearing HOURGLASS Ambient Lighting Blush in Diffused Heat
As you can see in the photos, Radiant Magenta is some sort of bright pink with pearl. It's very pretty especially when I wear pinks or purples (whether clothes or makeup). Diffused Heat is my favorite, a beautiful coral with pearl and gives off an ethereal glow on the cheeks.
My least favorite is Mood Exposure. Other people say that this is similar to tarte's Amazonian clay blush in Exposed, but Mood Exposure makes my cheeks look like I smeared dirt on them. :( I have to apply the lightest of touches to wear Mood Exposure, and even then, it looks slightly muddy. Not a good look, I must say.
Nonetheless, I am loving Radiant Magenta and Diffused Heat. I mostly only use two varying shades of two colors on my cheeks: coral and pink. I love interchangeing these two, and I also like the beautiful subtle sheen that comes with these.
Have you tried these? Thoughts?
