OPI Miss Universe 2013 Collection Swatches, Review

Here is a small collection featuring called OPI Miss Universe 2013.  It is a tiny collection of two creme and one matte glitter nail polishes.  They obviously have the beauty pageant theme, and the glitter one even has a very cute bejeweled crown trinket!

Here are my swatches and thoughts on the OPI Miss Universe 2013.

OPI This Gown Needs a Crown

OPI This Gown Needs a Crown

OPI This Gown Needs a Crown has very fine silver glitter in a matte finish.   It is described as a textured platinum.   It almost looks like foil, and the crown bauble is just so cute.  The color makes it look very clean on the nails.  The metallic finish also makes it look festive that is quite apt for the upcoming holiday season.

OPI I'm Feeling Sashy

OPI I'm Feeling Sashy is a very pretty dusty lavender creme with obvious tinge of grey.  I am a sucker for grurples (grey-purples) so this is totally up my alley.  I like the dustiness of this shade really reminds me of fall.

OPI Miss You-niverse

I cringe at the name.  The only thing I don't like about this polish is the name.  Otherwise, OPI Miss You-niverse is a gorgeous dark blurple (blue-purple) creme.  Blurples are usually all the rage during fall and winter, but I think this shade is still unique in my admittedly massive collection.  This in particular is described as a dark plum that is pretty accurate.

All in all, I like that the colors are mostly leaning toward purple, as I am a huge purple fan.  I love the formula as well - very easy to apply and pretty much opaque in two coats.

According to OPI, Miss Universe 2013 nail lacquers each feature OPI’s exclusive ProWide™ Brush for the ultimate in application. This Gown Needs a Crown features a satin finish and should be worn without top coat for best results. These shades will be available October 2013, at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, jcp Salons, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, ULTA and ulta.com for $9.00 ($10.95 CAN) suggested retail for each nail lacquer.

The Shades Of U Rating: 4.5 out of 5
