I was over the moon with excitement when I got the Pixie Dust Fall 2013 collection. I've enjoyed the Pixie Dust summer collection, but fall is just around the corner, and I'd been dying to get my grubby hands on some really good textured polish with fall shades.
Here are the shades of the Pixie Dust collection, and my thoughts on these.
Zoya Pixie Dust in Tomoko
Zoya Pixie Dust in Tomoko is described as a textured silvery champagne with matte sparkle and metallic finish. It looks really clean on the nails.
Zoya PixieDust nail polish in Chita
Zoya PixieDust nail polish in Chita is a forest green with a matte, sparkling textured finish. I love greens so it's right up my alley. I like how it sparkles and yet the finish is matte, just like the rest of the Pixie Dusts.
Zoya PixieDust nail polish in Sunshine
Zoya PixieDust nail polish in Sunshine is gorgeous! It's a denim blue matte sparkle. This is going to be one of my favorite polishes for the fall.
Zoya PixieDust nail polish in Dhara
Can you say "stunning"? Zoya PixieDust nail polish in Dhara is a beautiful fiery orange copper with a matte, sparkling metallic texture. This is very similar to the OPI Liquid Sand in Jinx, but Zoya Dhara is smoother, not as gritty as OPI Jinx, and more vibrant in color. This is another favorite of mine from the collection.
Zoya PixieDust nail polish in Arabella
Zoya PixieDust nail polish in Arabella is such a pretty name! It does fit this girly hue - a rich fuchsia textured matte polish with metallic finish. I like that it looks glittery from afar, but it's actually a textured finish.
Zoya PixieDust nail polish in Carter
Zoya PixieDust nail polish in Carter is a royal purple matte textured polish with glints of fuchsia. It is really pretty, but the glare washed out the real look and finish of this polish. The last three pictures were taken in the shade so you can really see the beauty of this shade.
All in all, I was pretty impressed with this collection. I can honestly say that textured finish is not my top favorite finish of nail polish, but this collection has a better textured finish than some collections I've seen. It's gritty but not too gritty, both in the feel and by looking at it.
Zoya PixieDust Fall 2013 is now available on www.zoya.com for $9 each.
