Summer is upon us, and what better way to welcome the warm (and here, HOT) weather than to use summer-appropriate products. I mostly use BB creams or tinted moisturizers during the hot summer months, because they're easier to apply, feels very lightweight, and does not have the cakey look and feel of full coverage foundations.
Revlon has its new BB cream offering called the Revlon Photoready BB Cream that is making the rounds on blogs and product review sites. Revlon touts this a skin perfector that evens skintone and blurs imperfections. What I like about this is that it also has SPF30. I do not leave the house without wearing sunscreen of at least SPF30, so the Revlon BB cream is perfect as a primer, tinted moisturizer and sunscreen rolled into one product.
Let's take a closer look at the BB cream.

Wearing Revlon Photoready BB cream in 020 Light Medium
I used the Revlon Photoready BB cream in 020 Light Medium, and it has this lightweight look and feel on the skin. It made my face look flawless even though my skin had breakouts. I did have to spot-apply concealer on trouble spots and my undereye circles to better hide the imperfections.
If you are looking for summer makeup tips, here's one: use tinted moisturizers or BB creams for a flawless face look without the cakey, mask-like finish of full-coverage foundations, which will inevitably melt in the heat. For the summer, I use mostly BB creams during the day, only preferring to use full-coverage foundations on nights out and special events. The Revlon Photoready BB cream is perfect for those hot summer days when you don't want to be bothered with full-face makeup, but you want your skin to have an even, no-makeup makeup look. The SPF30 sunscreen is a great bonus for those of us who can't be bothered to apply a separate sunscreen.
Revlon nail lacquer in 580 Eclectic
Another beauty tip is to try fun, summery shades of nail lacquers to welcome the season. I love to wear greens, blues, fuchsias, neons and bright nail lacquers during the summer.
I was able to try Revlon nail lacquer in 580 Eclectic, a dusty mint green, and it is nice to go with my summer dresses. The formula is a little on the thin side, but it was easy to even things out on the second or third coat.
