Pixi by Petra Natural Brow Duo Swatches, Review

I've been really particular about brow products because I'm kinda obsessed about my brows lately.  Even if I don't have a smudge of makeup on my face, my brows have to be filled in and groomed before I leave the house.  I've tried a number of brow products- pencil, gel, mousse - you name it.  I only have a handful of favorites.

Pixi Natural Brow Duo is a dual-ended product that has an angled waterproof brow pencil on one end, and a soft-hold gel on the other to hold unruly brows in place.

It only has one shade for now - No. 1 Medium Brown - but I guess depending on how light or heavy your hand is, this will create a shade that is close to your natural hair color.

I really like the angled tip of the brow pencil.  It gives amazing control of the product, and it's great to outline the edges of the brows to give really crisp, precise brow borders.  The only thing I don't like about the pencil is that it is on the hard side.  It is better to soften it using the tip of your finger.  The warmth from your finger will make the product creamier and easier to apply.  The other thing I like about this pencil is that it is waterproof so it has better staying power than other brow pencils I've tried.

The other end is a soft-hold gel, so it doesn't give your crispy-looking and/or crispy-feeling brows.  It does hold the brows in place, and at the same time, it locks the pigment for better staying power.

The good news is that this product is easily available and can be found at Target stores.  It retails for $18 a pop.
