MAC Temperature Rising: Nude On Board and Soft Sand Bronzer, Hot Nights Blush Swatches & Review

 Temperature Rising

Here is another installment of this blog's series on the MAC Temperature Rising collection, this time focusing on Pro Longwear Bronzers, Bronzing Powder and Blush.

Let's talk first about the bronzers.  There are two types of bronzers in this collection, the Pro Longwear Bronzers and the regular Bronzing Powder.  The only difference I noticed in these two is that the Pro Longwear bronzer is a bit drier in texture, and the Bronzing Powder is creamier, which probably influenced the supposedly longer staying power of the Pro Longwear Bronzer (although I didn't see any difference in their performance).

Let's talk about the Pro Longwear Bronzer first.  I have the one called Nude on Board.

MAC Nude on Board Pro Longwear Bronzer

Nude on Board is described as a bronzy yellow tone bronzer.  I honestly think this is too light for my skintone.  This would look good on fair or light skintones, though.

MAC Soft Sand Bronzing Powder

MAC Soft Sand is my favorite bronzer from this collection.  It is just perfect for my skintone.  It's described as a golden bronze with fine gold pearl.

 MAC Refined Golden Bronzing Powder

I have Refined Golden and Soft Sand in the non-Temperature Rising packaging.  Refined Golden is described as a finely spun golden with soft pearl finish.  This is a bit too dark for me, but is great for medium to dark skin.

 MAC Hot Nights blush

I have the blush Hot Nights and it is very, very, very pigmented.  This is probably the most pigmented MAC blush that I own.  Even if you apply lightly using a duo-fibre brush, be very careful as it can give you clown cheeks.  Be sure to buff and blend the product so it doesn't look too garish on the cheeks.  You can even apply a light dusting of translucent powder to tone it down.

That said, it's a very pretty mid-tone berry pink in the frost formula.  Just remember to use a very, VERY light hand!

In the photos above, I am wearing MAC blush in Hot Nights and MAC Soft Sand bronzing powder. Those are screen caps of my MAC Temperature Rising Summer 2013 Swatches and Review Video. This is my favorite blush and bronzer combination of late.

Stay tuned for the rest of my MAC Temperature Rising Review on this blog!
