Milani Color Statement Lip liner in 03 Naked and 01 Fuchsia

I have already talked about the Milani Color Statement Lipstick Reds and Oranges Swatches and Review, so in this entry, it's all about the plums and berries.
I am particularly loving this particular color collection by Milani, because I am such a sucker for plummy and berry lip shades. I feel that these types of shades really brighten my complexion, and the purple/pink undertones are very feminine.
Here are the swatches of these shades (both skin and lip swatches) and my thoughts:
Chilled Brandy #22, Black Cherry #24, Violet Volt #34
As you can see in the swatches, the lipsticks are very creamy, pigmented, and very color-saturated. For the drugstore price, this is such a good buy, and a pleasant surprise at that. The swatches may look really dark in the swatches, but they are pretty wearable, as you can see in the lip swatches below. I have pigmented lips so the products don't always translate the exact same hue that you see in the tube on the lips.
Milani Color Statement Lip Swatches:
Plumrose is my favorite shade out of the 7, just because it's the perfect office or everyday plummy rose. The name aptly describes itself.
Rasberry Rush is a pinky frost. It's pretty, although it has a frosty sheen that I don't know if a lot of people will like, but I in particular like it.
Uptown Mauve is a nice mid-tone plummy pink. It's a bit darker than Plummy Rose, but still wearable.
Sangria, as the name implies, is a wine-colored creamy lipstick. Like most of the cream finishes from the Milani Color Statement line, it applies smoothly and glides like a dream on the skin.
I think Chilled Brandy is my least favorite out of the plums and berries, just because it's pretty dark and has a frosty sheen to it that does not complement my skintone. On the right skintone, though, this would look gorgeous.

Black Cherry looks intimidatingly dark in the tube, but it's actually pretty wearable as you can see in the swatches. It is great as a vampy lip color during the fall, or year-round for nights out or special events.

Violet Volt is probably the star of this plums and berries collection. I read that a lot of bloggers and consumers really love this shade. Reminds me a lot of MAC Violetta lipstick. It's a gorgeous bright orchid with a soft sheen to it. I think the shade is also universally flattering on all skintones, as I've seen photos of various people of different skintone wearing Violet Volt, and every one of them looked good wearing it.

As I've mentioned in my previous review of these liners, they were a pleasant surprise. They have great pigmentation and although they are on the matte side, they are quite easy to apply on the lids, and are very pigmented. I swatched these on my hand, and there were still traces of the product the following day after trying to scrub and wash it off. That said, these lipliners are really long-lasting. Fuchsia is the best shade for all these bright plums and pinks, and the Naked shade is great for the darker neutrals that I will be featuring in a later post.
All in all, if you want affordable, highly pigmented and color-saturated lip products, you might want to check out these new Milani Color Statement Lipsticks and Lipliners. They are available at CVS, Target, Walgreens, Walmart and K-mart.
