I already did a Video Review on the MAC Mineralize Moisture SPF 15 Foundation, but this is an update on that first impression on this particular foundation. In that video review, I said that I liked this foundation, but let me correct myself and say that I am loving this foundation so much, it is perhaps my favorite MAC foundation of all time.
The MAC Mineralize Moisture SPF 15 Foundation has a beautiful, luminous glow, but it is not greasy on my combination skin. I love how it adds radiance to my skin, making it look dewy, younger and fresher. The consistency is not thick at all; in fact, it is on the runny side, so much so that it is more of a light-medium buildable coverage foundation. However, upon contact on the skin, it morphs into this really beautiful, dewy second skin, without giving a mask-like appearance. It doesn't feel or look cakey at all, and it's in fact due to the runny consistency. In the look above, I used a 50-50 mix of NC30 and NC35. I used one pump from each shade, and it gives a nice coverage, but I did have to use concealer to spot conceal blemishes.
If you do have very oily skin, I would suggest that you avoid this foundation, just because it is a moisture foundation and would infuse more moisture into the skin which you might not really need or want. However, if you have dry, normal or combination skin, I would suggest that you at least try this foundation out, as it does really have a nice, radiant finish that complements the complexion.
Staying power is decent with a good primer. I used this over my Revlon Photoready face primer, and it lasted pretty much the entire day (7-8 hours) without touch-ups, but only using blotting sheets. I don't really know how this foundation would perform on humid climates as I live in a rather dry environment. I would suggest applying a primer or pore minimizer underneath this product especially if you live in a very humid climate.
All in all, I can't say enough good things about this foundation. I am truly loving this and I am so glad that I think I may have found a holy grail foundation from MAC.
