Hi guys! This is the first of a series of posts on the Eucerin skin care products. I was given a chance to try out several products from Eucerin. Take note that I'm a big fan of the Eucerin Daily Protection Moisturizing Lotion, but this was the first time that I was able to try a lot of different products from Eucerin. Here are some of my thoughts on the ones that I was able to road test.
The Eucerin Original Healing Soothing Repair Creme comes in a huge tub that is great for family use like my own, or also perfect if you want the gigantic tub of moisturizing goodness to yourself. It's a hefty amount of product (16 oz/454 g). What I like about the Eucerin products is that in front of the container, you will see a graph which would indicate how rich or lightweight a product is.
This Eucerin Original Healing Soothing Repair Creme tipped the scales all the way to the right. Yes, it is VERY, very thick and rich. This is perfect for people who have very dry skin and want very rich emollients to seal in moisture and heal and protect the skin.
This is perfect for me and my husband because we live in a very dry environment. We rarely get high humidity here, plus my husband has psoriasis so the dry air exacerbates his skin condition. This Eucerin product is a godsend for his severely dry skin. It really makes his skin become smoother and softer and a lot more hydrated.
On the other hand, you might not like this during summer because it's a heavy cream. I'd still use this during summer especially for my extra dry skin patches like on my heels, elbows and knees. This is the perfect winter cream, though, to beat the winter rash or itch.
The best part about Eucerin is that it is quite affordable. Remember: looking good starts with a pure heart, then it's all about good skin! Take care of your skin, then it will be the perfect canvas for any cosmetic product you would use.
