I was able to try three items from the new Aqualillies for tarte Summer 2013 collection. This collection pays homage to America’s cutest synchronized swimming group, the Aqualillies (I love the name!). The summer collection features bold, bright colors to welcome the warmer weather, and because the focus is all about synchronized swimmers, there's also a lot of teals and greens in the collection. I was able to roadtest the two shades of the Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner, and the Glamazon™ Pure Performance 12-Hour Lipstick in Timeless, a limited edition shade.
Let's start first with the two colors of the Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner, Black and Splash.

As the name implies, the tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner in Black is a very rich, intense, deep, carbon black. It's such a deep black that I love to apply this on my upper lashline for a beautiful cat-eye. Every pack of the tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner in this collection comes with a dual-ended eye liner brush. One side is bent (which I prefer), and the other is straight to give you a choice in both comfort and control in application.
In the look below, I used the Black shade on my upper lashline using the bent side of the liner brush, and I love how easy it was to apply the product and control the brush. I love how rich, deep and very black the liner is, and I also like the fact that it's matte as opposed to a shiny kind of black.
tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner in Splash is a beautiful, shimmery teal that looks wet and luscious because of the shimmer. It's amazing as a summer liner, or even to wear with neutrals to give those boring palette of colors a little pop of color.
tarte Glamazon™12-Hour Lipstick in Timeless:
tarte Glamazon™ 12-Hour Lipstick in Timeless is a limited edition orange-coral cream lipstick. In the photos, you can see how rich and pigmented it is. It also applies very smooth and glides like a dream on the lips. This is one of my favorite lipsticks in a long while! This was my first time to try tarte Glamazon™lipsticks, and I was very pleasantly surprised and impressed with the formula. Usually, very pigmented lipsticks are quite drying on the lips, and vice versa, but in this case, this very bright, bold lip color did not dry out my lips at all. I now want to try other shades from the Glamazon™line!
All in all, the Aqualillies for tarte is a fun collection to herald the coming of summer. I just love the bold and rich hues. I am really liking the items, but I am particularly in love with Glamazon™ 12-Hour Lipstick in Timeless. If you are interested in this, hurry up because it's limited edition.
