Recently, I talked about the Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful Campaign. This worldwide movement, which was launched Friday, March 8th, is dedicated to empowering women and girls with education, resources, job skills and work experience and will aim to help them “be who they are.” The campaign will raise funds through the sale of a limited-edition Pretty Powerful Pot Rouge ($25) and via GlobalGiving.org. In the U.S., every cent of the proceeds from sales of the Pretty Powerful Pot Rouge will go to Dress for Success, which Bobbi has worked with for years.
Pretty Powerful Pot Rouge will be available in Pretty Powerful Pink, a universally flattering shade, featured in a sleek flip-top compact with the campaign’s signature logo. The double-duty
cream formula blends easily, giving cheeks a sheer stain of color and lips a beautiful soft, stained finish. This limited edition item will be available in March 2013 at select Bobbi Brown Cosmetics counters in the US, UK, Hong Kong, Korea and South Africa.
Wearing Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful Pot Rouge on lips and cheeks
As Bobbi Brown claims, the Pretty Powerful Pot Rouge is indeed a universal shade. It's a soft neutral pink that is very pretty either as a lip color or a cheek shade.
The product has a slightly tacky texture which is good for the staying power of the product. I especially love it on the cheeks as it gives a soft but really pretty soft pink flush. On the lips, it has the same soft pink that brightens the complexion. Staying power is decent on the lips as it gives a stain finish the longer it stays on, but on the cheeks, it has a good lasting finish especially if you set it with translucent powder or makeup setting spray.
