China Glaze Avant Garden Swatches and Review Part 1

Spring is just around the corner, and I was so excited to try out these new China Glaze spring polishes from the Avant Garden collection.  The shades are definitely cheerful, springy and quite dainty and feminine.

Here are the first six China Glaze Avant Garden Swatches and my thoughts on them.

 China Glaze Avante Garden
 China Glaze Dandy-Lyin Around (shade)

  China Glaze Dandy-Lyin Around (sunlight)

China Glaze Dandy-Lyin Around is a nice pearly white shade with shimmer.  Looks quite clean on the nails.  It is very sheer though because it's more of a jelly, and it will be streaky on the first coat, so be very careful.  It will even out in the second or third coat.

China Glaze Keep Calm, Paint On (sunlight)

China Glaze Keep Calm, Paint On (shade)

China Glaze Keep Calm, Paint On is a light sage/spring green with shimmer.  It has the same finish and formula as Dandy-Lyin Around.  It is streaky at first coat, but it does even out things after the second and third coat.

 China Glaze Pink-ie Promise

 China Glaze Pink-ie Promise (shade)

I like this shade of pink.  China Glaze Pink-ie Promise is such a feminine shade.  I will definitely be wearing this often in the spring.  Very girlie and dainty.

China Glaze Avant Garden
China Glaze Tart-y for the Party (sunlight)

China Glaze Tart-y for the Party (shade)

China Glaze Tart-y for the Party is definitely one of my favorites, just because I am a sucker for anything purple or lilac.  It is a nice lavender cream that screams spring.

China Glaze Avant Garden
China Glaze Life is Rosy (sunlight)

China Glaze Life is Rosy is a medium pink creme.  Some people think this is a "mom color", but I kinda like it.  It looks very nice, office-appropriate, and clean on the nails.

China Glaze Fade Into Hue
China Glaze Fade Into Hue (sunlight)

China Glaze Fade Into Hue (shade)

China Glaze Fade Into Hue is one of my top favorites from this collection.  It is such a pretty shade of a dusty blue.  It is a also a cream and I didn't have a hard time evening things out.

All in all, the shades might not be too unique, but if you don't have these shades yet, you might want to try and invest in these Avant Garden polishes.  The formula is good- neither too thick nor too runny, although I prefer the cremes over the shimmery sheer ones like Dandy-Lyin Around because it takes more time and effort to even out the streaks in the latter.  My favorites from this first batch are Fade Into Hue, Tart-y for the Party and Pink-ie Promise.

Stay tuned for Part 2 of the China Glaze Avant Garden Swatches!
