Nicole by OPI CVS-Exclusive Nail Lacquers
Nicole by OPI came up with seven new lacquers which are exclusively available at CVS. The collection has a mixture of simple shades like blue, pink, purple cremes, but it also has foil finishes to spruce up the group. Nicole by OPI calls these shades the "new neutrals" to complement the hottest trends for 2013.
Here are the swatches of the seven shades, and my thoughts on them.
Nicole by OPI I Sea You and Raise You (sunlight)
I Sea You and Raise You (shade)
I Sea You and Raise You is a beautiful cerulean blue creme. It applies well and not streaky at all. This is my top fave for this collection as I am slowly becoming a sucker for blue polish.
Nicole by OPI Feeling Grapeful (sunlight)
(shade)
Feeling Grapeful is a red-based mid-tone purple creme. It looks somewhat pink in the photos but it leans more like lavender pink to my eyes. This is pretty both as a creme polish worn by itself, or as a base for glitters, like this Lynnderella Matter of the Heart:

Nicole by OPI Always a Silver Lining (sunlight)
(shade)
Always a Silver Lining is a silver foil. It's a duller silver compared to my other silver polishes, so you might take this into consideration before purchasing. It may or may not be a bad thing, and to some people, this is already blingy on its own.
Nicole by OPI A Pinker Shade of Pale (sunlight)
(shade)
As the name implies, A Pinker Shade of Pale is a pale pink foil. It has the same finish as Always a Silver Lining, but this time in a cool-toned, very light pink.
Nicole by OPI Personally Speaking (sunlight)
(shade)
I really like Personally Speaking. It's like a mauve purple foil. It's slightly darker than A Pinker Shade of Pale, but it has the exact same foil finish.
Nicole by OPI Don't Overpink It (sunlight)
(shade)
Don't Overpink It is a yellow-toned pink creme. This is one of my favorites. It's very pretty and great for spring and summer. I liked it layered with a glitter polish, this time in Candy Lacquer Buttered Popcorn:

Nicole by OPI Marooned in Paradise
(shade)
Marooned in Paradise is your vampy burgundy with a slight shimmer to it that's very pretty. I love how the shimmer complements the dark color. I also love the dark background as a canvas for glitter polish, like Lynnderella Vampink:

All in all, these new Nicole by OPI CVS-Exclusive Nail Lacquers have pretty good formulas. They didn't streak (even the foily ones) and didn't pool at the cuticles, and basically didn't give me a hard time in applying them. I also like how they are all pretty opaque in two coats. Of course, you need extra care in application with the foils since they can be finicky especially for those who are new to applying polish, but it is not something too difficult.
These lacquers are available now at all CVS drugstore locations nationwide for $7.99 each.
