M-61 Vitablast C® Vitamin C & E Serum Review
Friday, December 14, 2012
I am a big fan of Vitamin C serums. I use them every night after I cleanse and prior to application of my prescription strength retinoids and moisturizer. Much has been written and said about the benefits of Vitamin C to our body, and specifically, or skin. Vitamin C is a free radical-fighter and is a boost to our immune system.
The M-61 Vitablast C Vitamin C & E Serum, as the name implies, contains both Vitamins C & E, which work synergistically in a single skincare product to neutralize free radical damage and protect against oxidative stress. Vitamin C targets dull skin to create a radiant complexion, promoting skin elasticity and protecting the skin from environmental stressors. This product also contains antioxidant gallic acid naturally brightens, while vitamin E hydrates and nourishes the skin.
I like how my Vitamin C serums quickly lighten dark spots like acne scars and hyperpigmentation, and because I am prone to zits every now and then, I need a serum that would efficiently lighten those dark acne spots. This particular serum does not disappoint. I like that it's slightly thicker than most Vitamin C serums that I have, and that's probably because of the Vitamin E component. For those with sensitive skin, the ascorbic acid may be a bit tingly on the skin, so make sure that you are not putting too much or it may sting a little. Nonetheless, it feels better after I slather moisturizer liberally over the serum.
The M-61 Vitablast C Vitamin C & E Serum also has gallic acid which brightens the complexion. Vitamin E moisturizes the complexion, so it's a great combination - the ascorbic acid infuses anti-oxidants, while Vitamin E soothes and protects.
This product retails for $92 (30 ml/ 1 fl oz) and is available HERE.
