I know it's a little late for a holiday gift idea, but you can keep this gift set in mind for Valentine's Day or a belated holiday gift, especially for the skincare enthusiast. The Jurlique Purely Bright Essentials Gift Set features three products that target dull, uneven skintone. These are products made with Jurlique's powerful VITABRIGHTKX complex to help even skin tone and fade discolourations to reveal vibrant skin.
I have some discoloration issues because of acne scarring on my chin and other parts of my face. I was excited to try this kit as I know that it specifically addresses my areas of concern.
Here are my thoughts on the items in this kit.
The Jurlique Radiance Serum is a powerful concentrate formulated with VitaBrightKx that helps to reduce the appearance of dark spots and discolorations and improve skin radiance. According to the brand, clinical results show that 80% of women noticed improvements in hydration, skin radiance and 67% of women said their age spots appeared lightened after 12 weeks of use.
I have not used this product long enough to make an informed opinion on these claims, but I note that this serum does brighten my skin a bit in the morning upon using it at night. It slightly diminishes the appearance of dark spots on my chin caused by acne scarring. It also has a really nice, pleasant scent (and no, this is not rose-scented, so for those of you who think that Jurlique only has rose scented products, well, it doesn't).
The Jurlique Purely Bright Facial Mist is claimed to reduce the visible appearance of skin discolorations, even skin tone and improve skin radiance. I have not used this product long enough to vouch for this claim, but this has a very pleasant scent and feel on the skin. I will definitely use this especially during spring and summer days when a refreshing mist on the skin instantly refreshes and re-energizes.
The Jurlique Purely Bright Day Moisturizer is a lightweight cream that features VitaBrightKX to help minimize the visible appearance of dark spots and discolorations and improve skin radiance. VitabrightKX contains the following ingredients:
-Kakadu Plum Extract helps to reduce the appearance of skin discolorations.
-Citrus Unshiu Peel Extract has shown to inhibit melanin synthesis and is designed to help decrease the appearance of dark spots.
-African Birch Extract is a powerful antioxidant known to help increase skin firmness.
-Vitamin C (Ascorbyl Glucoside) helps protect skin from environmental aggressors, improve skin clarity and supports natural collagen for firmer skin.
The only gripe I have about this moisturizer is that it does not appear to have SPF or sunscreen. I am very particular about my sunscreen and I need to have it in my moisturizer or day cream. If you have this day cream, don't forget to apply a separate sunscreen to protect your skin against harmful rays. It does give a nice lightweight moisture to the skin and gives my skin a brighter appearance. I just wish it contains sunscreen as well.
All in all, this is a solid kit to target uneven skintone and discoloration. You can purchase this kit for only $68 on the Jurlique website.
