Over the years, I've had a lot of MAC holiday brush sets, and I've seen different kinds of themes and designs from MAC. I particularly like the brush sets from last year's Holiday Collection and the Tartan Tale from 2 years ago. This time, MAC decides to go all girly and lacy in these MAC Holiday 2012 Primped Out (Fabulousness) plush brush kits.
The one that I have is the Perfectly Plush Brush Kit/Advanced. It has the following brushes:
167SE Face Blender Brush
168SE Large Angled Contour Brush
217SE Blending Brush
239SE Eye Shader Brush
212SE Flat Definer Brush
I particularly like the eye brushes because I know they almost have the same head shape, size and quality as their full-sized versions. I am not a fan of the face brushes all that much because their heads are smaller than the full-sized ones, thus providing a different effect in the application of makeup. The face blender brush would be okay to apply translucent powder because it's not supposed to look obvious on your face anyway. It's the 168SE that I'm particularly wary of when applying bronzer or brush since the head is smaller than the full-size version.
I was also a bit disappointed with the colored hairs, but the pink is starting to grow on me. I'm so glad I didn't get the green haired brush set! I love the color green but it would totally tick me off if I see green on my brush hairs.
All in all, this is a decent brush set. Of course the quality is inferior compared to the full-size version, but this would do especially for travel. I like the plastic pouch with the lacy lining too.
