I've always been a fan of Maybelline lip products since the 1990s when I got addicted to their matte lipsticks in slim tubes. However, it's been a while since I tried Maybelline lipglosses, so I was really excited to try the new Maybelline ColorSensational Lipgloss.

The company claims that this formula has more vibrant color from pure liquid pigments and has a cleaner shine than the past formulas.

I have to say that I really like the formula. It is not super tacky on the lips, but it gives a nice creamy feel that is quite comfortable even after hours of wear. And I agree that it does give a clean shine, not too blingy or over-the-top, but just a creamy feel and look that does not slide off the lips easily.

Raspberry Reflections is my favorite. It is a very creamy fuchsia that does have some very slight silver shimmer in the bottle, but does not translate as outright shimmer on the lips. It gives a really nice, creamy finish.

Almond Crush has a frosty look to it, similar to Glisten Up Pink. Not my favorite as it is a bit too shimmery for my taste, although it's a lovely light pink shimmer.

Iced Chocolate is one of my go-to shades. It's exactly like Raspberry Reflections in finish in that it has very sparse silver sparkles in it, but you won't notice it outright on the lips. It's a neutral brown that translates nicely on my pigmented lips.

One Shine Day is a pink coral shimmer, but not as shimmery as Almond Crush. This is also one of my favorites.

Glisten Up Pink is a frosty pink. I would wear it over a darker matte or satin lipstick to tone down the shimmer.

Plum Luster is a nice deep berry shade with lots of plum, fuchsia, teal shimmer particles in it. Applies nicely on the lips and the color is perfect for fall.

Luminous Latte is a nice understated neutral although a bit frosty. The frost does look better on me than Almond Crush or Glisten Up Pink, so I use this one a lot over neutral lipsticks for a My-Lips-But-Better look.

All in all, I am really liking these lipglosses. They come in nice rectangular tubes with silver caps, and they don't look cheap at all. They have a nice, sturdy sponge doefoot applicator, which is my favorite applicator when applying glosses. The formula has the right amount of stickiness to adhere to the lips, yet is very creamy to provide comfortable feel and wear.

The Maybelline ColorSensational Lipgloss retails for $7.49 and is available at all leading drugstores and retail stores nationwide.

The Shades Of U Rating: 4.75 out of 5
