I was able to try Jesse's Girl nail polish in the past, but this is my first time to try JulieG nail polish line which is also manufactured by Jesse's Girl. JulieG is a beauty vlogger on YouTube and she is known for her nail tutorials. She collaborated with Jesse's Girl Cosmetics to come up with her own nail polish line. Isn't that neat?
I like the selection in this group a lot better than the JulieG collection that came out a year ago. The shades in that collection were more common ones, but in this JulieG nail polish line, you would see that there are some really nice colors from the bunch. Here are my thoughts on these
JulieG Nail Polish in Royal Rebel
Royal Rebel is a deep purple metallic shimmer. This is great for fall especially for the coming Halloween. Even though this is pretty, this is not my favorite out of the four that I've tried, maybe because I already have similar shades in my stash.
JulieG Nail Polish in Elegant Edge
I was a bit surprised with Elegant Edge. I thought this would look boring on the nails because it did not look anything special in the bottle. Applied on the nails, though, it is a gorgeous wine creme. I also love how easy it was to apply on the nails, and no streaking or pooling on the cuticles whatsoever.
JulieG Nail Polish in Dance in the Dark
Dance in the Dark is a really attention-grabbing dark blue shimmer. I love the little flecks of shimmer particles both in the bottle and on the nail. I think this is one of my favorites.
JulieG Nail Polish in Butterflies and Rosebuds
Butterflies and Rosebuds is a deep fucshia shimmer. I also like this one, very girly and the deep magenta color looks chic and expensive. However, JulieG nail polishes are only $3.99 each, can you believe that? They're available at all Rite Aid Stores and jessesgirlcosmetics.com.
All in all, I am liking the formula of this line. While there are no wild shades or really unique colors, I appreciate the good quality shimmers, metallics and creams. These are classic finishes that will stay and will always be appreciated on the nails.
The Shades Of U Rating: 4.5 out of 5
