I was able to try a makeup brand that is new to me, and I am really intrigued by the whole concept and philosophy of the brand. Vapour Organic Beauty is a prestige beauty brand that is revolutionizing the luxury beauty market with its unique branding and concept. Vapour tries to break through the beauty market with a new medium- a unique formulation that has a light-as-air texture with botanical extracts that nourish the skin.

The brand itself was discovered by Erik Sakas, a celebrity makeup artist and a co-founder of Kevin Aucoin Beauty. Eric received an unlabeled cosmetic sample and was impressed by the performance and texture of the product, and he was compelled to track down the lab from which the sample came from. That single search for the manufacturer gave birth to Vapour Organic Beauty.

I was able to try two variants of their foundation, but in this entry, I will talk about Vapour's Atmosphere Soft Focus Foundation. As I mentioned in my July 2012 Beauty Favorites Video, this product is unique in the sense that it contains plant extracts, plant oils that are non-comedogenic or won't clog the pores. It contains anti-inflammatory Frankincense, anti-oxidant Tulsi and moisturizing Lotus flowers.

As I applied in on my skin, it had a distinct, light but pleasant organic scent. It applied evenly and seamlessly on my skin, evening the skintone and hiding blemishes, and yet looks natural, light and with a very natural luminous, dewy finish. It glides on the skin flawlessly, and yet I noticed that this did not cake or settle into fine lines, kinda like "floating" on the skin if you will. It has medium buildable coverage, and it looks very natural and glowy on the skin. This is perfect winter and fall because this does not dry out the skin but in fact quite moisturizing. It can be a tad dewy in the summer, but I like this even during warmer weather because this does not cake at all. Like its name, it gives a pretty, soft-focus dewy glow on the skin. My perfect shade is 125, but I can also mix 130 and 135 to come up with a similar shade.

All in all, I am very impressed with this product. It didn't break out my acne-prone skin, and I think it is due to Vapour's 100% natural and chemical-free ingredients with a minimum of 70% organic ingredients.

I will be coming up with a look using Vapour's Atmosphere Soft Focus Foundation, so stay tuned!

What's the consistency like?

It looks a bit runny in the pictures, but it doesn't need to be a bad thing for application.

Yes it's not as thick as others because it has medium coverage but the finish is beautiful and flawless. Very lightweight on the skin.
