I posted Part 1 of my OPI Germany Swatches and Review. However, let me just say that it was a very hot day when I swatched these nail polishes (around 115-117 degrees outside, yes!), so some of the photos are hazy because of the heat and glare. Let's get on to the rest of the shades!
OPI Unfor-greta-bly Blue
OPI Unfor-greta-bly Blue is a beautiful metallic cobalt blue. I love how shiny this is, and it goes well with a lot of different outfits. The blue is strikingly vibrant and metallic, so this is a true attention-getter.
OPI Suzi & the 7 Düsseldorfs
OPI Suzi & the 7 Düsseldorfs has the same metallic finish as Unfor-greta-bly Blue, but this time it's a vibrant purple. So pretty and eye-catching.
German-icure by OPI
German-icure by OPI is a burgundy that has the same finish as the first two that I mentioned. Very vampy and very fall.
OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest
OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest is a beautiful deep plum that is the perfect fall color. Vampy, rich and dark, but a really metallic finish so it's not too drab and dark. One of my favorites from this collection.
OPI Berlin There Done That
OPI Berlin There Done That is a mousy taupe cream that might look too boring for some people, but it's kind of a palate-cleanser for those who are overwhelmed by the shiny vampy colors. I like to wear this when I want to take a break from shiny, glittery, bright funky colors, or this can also be a nice neutral base for nail stamp art like Konad or for glitters. This is a nice office shade as well. However, I think I've seen far too many taupes from nail polish brands in the past few years that I am not really too excited about this shade.
OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons
OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons is a honey-beige cream that gives me nude mannequin nails. This is probably great for people who want to have nice, polished hands but don't want to attract too much attention. Great for the office like OPI Berlin There Done That.
As I said in my previous review, I am loving the formula of this OPI fall collection. I've encountered some OPIs in the past that were too thick and was a pain to apply, but these new ones have great consistency and were very easy to apply.
All in all, I love the formula, and the shades are very interesting as well. I am happier with this OPI collection than I have with any other recent OPI collection.
Germany by OPI will be available August 8, 2012, at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, and ULTA, for $8.50 ($9.95 CAN) suggested retail for each Nail Lacquer.
The Shades Of U Rating: 4.75 out of 5
