Made From Earth Vitamin C Moisturizer Review
Friday, August 17, 2012
I am a big fan of Vitamin C serums. I use them every night after I cleanse and prior to application of my prescription strength retinoids and moisturizer. Much has been written and said about the benefits of Vitamin C to our body, and specifically, or skin. Vitamin C is a free radical-fighter and is a boost to our immune system. Vitamin C's main ingredient is collagen which helps bind the skin cells together. Vitamin C also helps brighten the skin and even skintone, and lightens discoloration.
Vitamin C serum does work for my skin, and I am a firm believer of this product. However, it's great to know that there is actually a product that has both Vitamin C and ingredients that moisturize the skin. I know there are several brands out there that offer moisturizer and Vitamin C in one, but I was able to try this product and I am liking this hybrid.
I was able to try the Vitamin C Moisturizer from Made From Earth. The brand claims that the Vitamin C Moisturizer contains the highest possible concentration of Vitamin C in a skin care product. It encourages collagen production and aids in hyperpigmentation or the darkening of certain areas of the skin.
I have hyperpigmentation issues because of acne scars. I noticed that this Vitamin C moisturizer does help in lightening the dark spots caused my old acne. I also like the texture of this product: it is light enough for summer, but you can also feel it really moisturizing the skin. I like that it is both a Vitamin C product and a moisturizer, so one does not have to apply Vitamin C serum prior to application.
I guess the only downside of this product is that it might not be for very dry skin, as that would require a really emollient, rich cream. The Vitamin C Moisturizer from Made From Earth is neither too emollient nor too light.
I guess this is one of the more affordable moisturizers with Vitamin C in the market. It retails for $54.99/2 oz.
This product is available at the Made From Earth website.
The Shades Of U Rating: 4.25 out of 5
