I posted a video review on the Bobbi Brown Desert Twilight collection, but this is my written post about the nail lacquers from the collection. The Desert Twilight collection from Bobbi Brown is a beautiful palette of beiges, plums, bronzes to pay homage to the Southwest desert landscape. Bobbi Brown injects shades of turquoise to add a splash of color just like the hues of Southwest jewelry. Even though I have a lot of turquoise nail polishes, this particular one by Bobbi Brown called Turquoise stands out because it is a very vivid shade of turquoise, and yes it does add to the Southwestern flavor of the collection. It is a bright turquoise cream that connotes native American jewelry as well as the fun colors of summer.

Twilight is a plum metallic shade with some taupe and brown tones. At first glance, it may look brown, but it's actually a shimmery plum with lots of taupe shimmer.  Very pretty and perfect for fall.

All in all, this is a pleasant surprise as this was my first time to try out Bobbi Brown nail lacquers.  They are a little on the thick side, but didn't give me problems in the application.  They were not streaky and were pretty easy to apply.  They were opaque in two coats.

I like the palette of this collection, and will feature more photos and swatches of the rest of the products from this collection, so stay tuned.
