I know that dark underarms are a common problem with a lot of women. That's why I was pleasantly surprised when a well-known skincare company is targeting this sensitive and yet important concern. I was also surprised that there is more than one variant of this kind of formula:

I tried all three and I really like the Dove Clear Tone in Sheer Touch. It has a very clean scent and it makes me feel fresh and protected the entire day. It's already in the nineties (read: HOT) here in Arizona, and yet this product kept me dry and fresh-smelling. Wearing deodorant is a must in this desert oasis. I'm glad that Dove Clear Tone passed the desert test. The Dove Clear Tone has your usual deodorant applicator, while the Dove Clear Tone Clinical has this applicator that shaves product and pushes it out of the container using the knob at the base of the deodorant.

I will wear Dove Clear Tone Clinical for those excessively hot, humid days when I know I will break a mean sweat. This product has prescription-strength wetness protection that is great for hot days or for an active day outside, and perfect for working out. I used this yesterday when the hottest temperature was at 95 degrees, and I didn't break a sweat on my underarms. Yes, impressive.

I have only used this product a few days, so I have yet to see if this will lighten discoloration or even skintone on my underarms. Needless to say that it's a dream come true for women to have a deodorant that works and yet prevents darkness and discoloration on that sensitive area.
