MAC has come up with a collection of new powder blushes called Tres Cheek. These are six shades that are surprisingly buildable and wearable, yes, even the bright red-orange one. They come in standard MAC powder blush formula, but the colors are quite your everyday blushes that you can wear again and again on any occasion.  I am actually partial to MAC's Pink Cult blush - a light neutral-pink blush that looks too boring in the pan, but morphs into a really nice matte neutral pink shade on the cheeks.   These new Tres Cheek blushes are along the same vein.  They vary to a certain degree in shades and brightness, but they are all buildable, wearable shades.

Pink Tea is a neutral beige pink in the satin formula.  I love this as this is I think a cousin of Pink Cult.  Lovecloud is a bright mid-tone pink that looks very clean and nice on the skin.  Peony Petal is another fave, a blue-based bright pink that is kinda like a Barbie shade.  Immortal Flower is a bright peach in the satin formula that will pique the interest of peach-coral fans.  Full of Joy is a lavender frost that may be hard to pull off as a blush but better used as a highlighter since it is frosty.  Lastly- the most unique shade of all- Modern Mandarin is a red-orange satin.  Gorgeous.  I am wearing it right now and it is a really pretty shade- bright but can definitely toned down.  I applied this 9 hours ago and though there is slight fading, it is still noticeable on my cheeks.  This is also one of my favorites from this selection as it is the most unique one out of all of them.

The MAC powder blush formula is not as long-lasting on me as let's say NARS', but it does have decent staying power.  I like MAC powder blushes as they have a huge selection of shades and finishes, and they apply and blend seamlessly.  I also like MAC's powder blushes because the formula is forgiving on blemished skin, and they don't break me out.

All in all, I like this new crop of blushes.  They are your typical neutral everyday blushes that I think a lot of people will like and use.

The Shades Of U Rating: 4.0 out of 5 stars

Have you tried Pink Tea on your skin and does the colour show up or do you need to layer it on?

Also, how do you think Lovecloud differs from Pet Me mineralized blush from Fabulous Felines in terms of colour? I got Pet Me after your review because we have around the same skintone and it's such a clean warm pink and I really like it! Although Lovecloud looks good too, I am afraid it might be a little too similar to justify owning.

Thanks!
