Jesse's Girl In the Mood Lipstick in Amore is supposed to be a color-changing lipstick that shifts hues according to your mood. It is a lustrous baby pink lipstick that looks too blue-based on my hand swatches. However, it does morph into a really nice pink on my pigmented lips, and it actually complements my warm skintone.
It was my first time to try a Jesse's Girl lipstick and I can say I was pleasantly surprised. I am not too impressed with the packaging, I have to admit. The plastic cap looks a bit too juvenile and low-end, but hey, what can you say, it's a $2.99 lipstick! The lipstick itself has a nice texture- applies well on the lips and does not dry them out. I was also surprised by how nice the finish is on the lips.
Wearing Amore
I guess that's what you call a color-changing lipstick indeed- it looks lighter on the hand as compared to the lip swatch. It is a nice berry pink on my lips. I really like this. I also like the nice sheen, so you don't need to apply a gloss on top if you are going for the juicy-looking lips route.
For a first time user of Jesse's Girl lipstick, I am pretty satisfied. I like this shade and would like to try out some more. I am not a big fan of the packaging, but I guess if they change that, the price point would drastically go up.
