I was able to try the four variants of Tendertones that came out in the Shop MAC, Cook MAC collection. I've had all shades except Purring in the past. Actually, I still have them right now, and they still smell and taste okay (they're around 3 years old and I'm impressed that they have not turned yet). I wasn't into the Tendertones that much, although I know that a lot of people love them. Maybe it's because I dislike lip balms in pots because I hate digging into the product with my fingers. That's why when I use Tendertones, I refuse to use my fingers and I just dab my lips directly onto the product lol.
Anyways, these feel really nice and emollient on the lips; they make the lips feel smooth, moisturized and supple. It has a slightly chemically fruity scent. The scent is not a genuine fruit smell, and there's a definite chemical characteristic to it. It's not cloying or anything, though. The Tendertones are pretty sheer and although the lip balms have colors in the pots, they do no translate well on the lips, they're just sheer washes of tint with the performance and consistency of a lip balm. Hush, Hush is the popular one, a sheer gold with yellow gold pearl. This would be great worn alone during spring or summer. Purring is a sheer tangerine shade with gold pearl. Tread Gently is a soft lime with green and yellow pearl. Hot n Saucy is a soft cherry red. As I said, even though they are tinted, they come across as sheer on the lips.
Many are glad to have the Tendertones back, but honestly speaking, I didn't miss them. However, this time around, I've come to appreciate the performance and finish of this product.

For some reason, I am on a cream blush kick nowadays. I love how cream blushes give this natural, lit-from-within effect. I have been loving MAC Brit Wit creme blush and have been using it regularly, and now MAC has come up with three from this collection. Florida, a light barbie pink, and Optimistic Orange, a bright coral, are repromotes, and the only new shade is Restores Dazzle!, a rich plum. They apply quite thick if you have a heavy hand, but they are easily blendable. They are also buildable so you can go from a sheer wash of color to bright, pigmented cheeks.
All in all, I like cream blushes, and the Cremeblend ones are no exception. I just wish that MAC came up with more unique colors for this collection. Straight up pink, orange and plum are not really that unique in MAC's massive color spectrum. Other than that, formula is nice and blendable. As with most cream blushes, staying power is not as good as powder ones, but you can always tote this in your purse for touch-ups.
