Call Me Bubbles

Shop MAC, Cook MAC has three eye shadow quads that offer a variety of finishes and shades. Shop & Drop has mostly purples and taupes. My favorite from this quad is Hypnotizing, a beautiful frosted greyed mauve frost. This is great as a lid color, it balances out the purples and blues prettily. Sugar Snack is the light pink matte highlight. I am not too fond of this color as it is not super pigmented. Power Boosted is a red-based purple or violet in the veluxe pearl. This has a nice texture and pigmentation.

Colour Added is a nice group of shadows comprising yellow and turquoise shades. I like that the yellow shadow in here, Color Added, is quite pigmented and is not chalky like many yellow MAC shades I've seen. Laundry Daze is a pretty yellow-tinged highlighter. Perfect for my yellow undertones. Self-Serve is a deep grey satin that I really like to smokify the eyes. Pre-Packaged is a muted turquoise in the Veluxe Pearl formula. This is a great accompaniment to Self-Serve on the outer lid.

Call Me Bubbles is the perfect sunset eye quad. It features four warm shades that really depict coppers and corals of the sunset. Call Me Bubbles is a light tan in the satin formula. Fresh Daily is an orange frost, perfect as a lid color. Brash is a frosty reddish copper in the veluxe pearl formula. I love this on the crease for the eye-catching sunset effect. Full of Flavour is a matte coral. I've never owned a matte coral before so this is a welcome addition to my collection.

All in all, this group of quads has better pigmentation and texture than many of the eyeshadow quads from recent collections. The shadows glide better on the lids, they apply better using either a shader or blending brush, and the pigmentation is more saturated. I am glad MAC is finally improving the quality of the quads.

I like all three quads equally, maybe because each one has something different to offer and they have equally good pigmentation or finish (more or less). I will be coming up with tutorials and looks using these quads, so stay tuned!
