I've had the chance to try the Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen Taster Trio that is available at Target for only twelve bucks. This set includes three eye liners that are in pencil form but glide and apply like liquid liner. This set includes Black Noir, an intense black, Black Tulip, a shimmery jewel-toned purple, and Black Cocoa, a matte brown. Perfect shades that you can definitely wear every day.
The first time I swatched this, I was wowed by how intense and rich the colors were. It glided too easily on the skin, so much so that I was afraid that it would melt off easily on the lids. I was wrong- it stayed put for hours on my lashline with a good primer. Loved how I could create intense looks like a smoky eye using these babies. You don't even need a heavy hand - just gently swipe on your skin for a full-on intense line. I also appreciate the fact that there is no tugging, no pulling on the lids, so it's easier to apply your makeup.
The pigment is amazingly rich, the eyeliner tip glides like butter on the lids. This does apply on the lids like a liquid liner! The lines are very rich and intense. It has Vitamin E to nourish and product the sensitive area around the eye, and contains no parabens, mineral oil, or preservatives. Best of all, it's water-proof.
The only downside I see is that this product is not meant for your waterline. I applied it there and it vanished in less than an hour. This is great for the lashline, though, and make sure you don't leave the pencils in hot places like the car during summer as I believe this will have a tendency to melt. The Pixi site also advises that these should be kept in the fridge for 10 minutes before sharpening. This means that the product is super soft and should be kept away from heat!
All in all, I believe this is a good product, given the intensity of the pigments, the ease in application, and the very affordable price. I loved the trio idea because this gives the consumer a taste of variety for just twelve bucks.
