OPI Holland Swatches Part 1
Friday, February 17, 2012
Here are some swatches of the OPI Holland collection. I was able to snag all shades, including the windmill display, haha! I will divide this collection into to parts, so here are swatches from the first batch! Link to Part 2 is at the end of this entry!
Did You 'ear About Van Gogh?
Did You 'ear About Van Gogh? is a pretty cafe au lait color. It's a cream and may seem boring to some, but this is a great palate cleanser if you've been on a bright or glitter streak and you want something clean and classic on the nails.
I Don't Give a Rotterdam
I Don't Give a Rotterdam is a slate blue with nice silver micro-shimmer. One of my favorites along with its cousin- coming up next-
I Have a Herring Problem
I Have a Herring Problem is a dusty blue with the same silver micro-shimmer as I Don't Give a Rotterdam. Very pretty on the nails and the micro-shimmer gives a nice break from straight up creams.
Pedal Faster, Suzi!
Pedal Faster, Suzi is a sheer light cotton candy pink with silver micro-shimmer. Very sheer though so I apply a base color underneath and use it like some sort of a top coat.
Thanks a Windmillion
Such a pretty, pretty shade! One of my favorites. This is a dusty sage cream and is very similar to Zoya's Bevin.
Gouda Gouda Two Shoes
This is one of my top favorites from this collection. Gouda Gouda Two Shoes is a rose-brown-peach sorta-kinda shade, with some duochrome shimmer going on, but the effect is very very subtle. Kinda reminds me of my favorite OPI, Kreme de la Kremlin:
All in all, I am liking this batch. I love the micro-shimmer in the two blues, and formula is good; no streaking and it was a breeze to apply. Most were opaque in two coats except Pedal Faster, Suzi! which was pretty sheer.
