Dr. Brandt Pore Thing™ T-Zone Pore Tightener Review
Tuesday, February 28, 2012
I have been given the opportunity to try Dr. Brandt Pore Thing™ T-Zone Pore Tightener which also doubles as a t-zone mattifier. It's also a primer for makeup that you use to blur the appearance of imperfections and large pores.
I was never the person with the "poreless" skin. I've always had relatively large pores on my nose and forehead because I have combination skin. I always use a primer because I find it embarrassing to see my pores peeking through my makeup, and that is definitely not the recipe for a flawless makeup finish. That's why I was quite excited to try Dr. Brandt's Pore Thing.
The product is actually in a gel form and is cool and pleasant upon contact on the skin. I smooth it over my t-zone and the larger pores on the sides of my nose. I am glad to say that this did tighten the appearance of the pores and gives a matte finish on the skin. Under makeup, it reduces oil production and keeps my face looking fresh and grease-free for hours.

I am liking this product especially since it really reduces oil during the day, so I don't have to keep re-touching my makeup. I only use oil blotting sheets throughout the day especially if it is a particularly warm one. On other days I don't even need blotting sheets. I alternate this product with my other makeup primers, but I like the lighter feeling of this product on my skin. I also like that it is formulated without parabens, synthetic dyes or fragrances, sulfates, phthalates and triclosan.
The only downside I think is the price, which is a bit steep. It retails for $45/1 oz. at Sephora and Sephora.com. I do feel though that this lasts a while as a little goes a long way.
