Here are some swatches and my thoughts on the Revlon Lip Butters that first started trickling into drugstores last October. For some reason, drugstores here in Arizona only got these in late December, because I'd been looking for these all over the valley, and I only spotted these a few days after Christmas.
Anyways, here are some swatches and my thoughts on these Lip Butters:

Here are my thoughts on the Revlon Lip Butters:
Packaging:
First of all, the packaging is pretty nifty. It comes in those quilted plastic caps with a see-through top so you can see the color of the product without opening the package. There's not a lot of product if you twist the product all the way out of the tube, maybe a fourth less than that of regular lipsticks. Also, be careful about twisting the product all the way up, because these are pretty soft products and will easily break off from the tube.
Texture/Finish:
The texture is very reminiscent of the old MAC Slimshine lipsticks or the new MAC Sheen Supreme lipsticks. They are not really tinted lipbalms or a hybrid of a balm or lipstick or lipglass, in my opinion. They are really full-fledged lipsticks just like the Slimshines or Sheen Supremes, lipsticks with a lot more shine and gloss.
As you can see in the swatches, the lighter the shade is, the more sheer the product will be, so this is probably why some people think of these as a hybrid of a tinted lip balm and a lipstick. However, as I previously mentioned, I think these are really full-on lipsticks, just with a more moist or lipglossy texture and finish. As for the darker shades, they may look dark in the tube, but the finish and texture make them very wearable. Like for example, Red Velvet looks super dark in the tube, but it looks more like a medium-dark shade on the lips. I guess the "glare" from the very shiny finish make these look more sheer. Also, take note that this is a very buildable product. If you apply just one or two swipes on your lips, the product will come out a bit sheer. If you however apply these on your lips in several swipes, you will see the color becoming brighter or more opaque.
Colors/Shades:
To discuss the colors that I have, Raspberry Pie is a medium-dark berry shade that is so pretty. This is a rather fall-winter color that I really like. Candy Apple is a bright but sheerer coral-ish red that can also be great for summer. Red Velvet, as I said, looks dark in the tube, but is actually a nice medium-dark deep red. Cotton Candy is a light neutral pink that looks great on even my warm skintone, which surprised me. Tutti Frutti is a vibrant but sheer-buildable orange that would look great for spring and summer. Gumdrop is a light cool lilac that looks too cool on my skintone. Pink Truffle is a pinkish brown that I thought looked great on my skintone. Brown Sugar is a nice brownish shade that would make a nice neutral for my warm skintone. Berry Smoothie is a very wearable medium berry shade. Peach Parfait is a peachy pink shade with lots of shimmer, so be wary of this if you don't like shimmer, although it is a very pretty color. Lollipop is my absolute favorite. It is a hot pink creme that is probably the most pigmented of the ones I've tried. It is quite opaque and goes on evenly and smoothly, and the shade is to-die-for. Creme Brulee is a beige nude that is lighter than Brown Sugar and makes for a great nude lipstick shade.
My favorites would have to Lollipop, Raspberry Pie, Creme Brulee, Cotton Candy and Pink Truffle.
Staying Power:
Since these are really glistening, full-shine lipsticks and they are obviously not matte, they slide off the lips a lot more easily. Staying power is only around 3-4 hours, and of course, you have to reapply this after every meal. I don't mind doing this anyway because I like my lipsticks to look fresh as much as possible.
Downside:
I almost didn't like these Lip Butters because the first time I tried it, it was too drying on my lips. Yes, these are named Lip Butters but for some reason, they dry out my lips, and I've read/watched some reviews on blogs and YouTube saying the same. I however resolved this issue by really moisturizing my lips by applying a generous amount of my Rosebud Skin Salve on my lips before applying the lip butters. That's why I do not believe these are hydrating or moisturizing at all. Yes they look luscious and moist, but for some reason they are drying on my lips. Therefore, my tip would be to moisturize your lips before applying the lip butters.
All in all, I am liking these Revlon Lip Butters. I like the ease in application (some of these you can apply on your lips without needing a mirror), the wide range of shades, the buildable color, and the moist, luscious finish. I also like the pigmentation of these especially the darker/brighter shades. These will become part of Revlon Colorburst's permanent line, so don't fret if you can't find these lip butters. They retail for $7.49, but watch out for the buy-one-get-one-half-off sales that are frequently offered in drugstores.
