Maybelline lipstick is close to my heart because it was my very first lipstick. It also brings back a lot of memories with my friends ten or fifteen years ago. I've always liked Maybelline lippies because they are pigmented and the range of shades is amazing. However, Maybelline has the Color Sensational Lipcolor that probably kicked it up a notch.

These Color Sensational formula features crisp, pigmented shades. They are very creamy and glide on the lips easily. My favorite out of the shades I have is Fifth Ave. Fuchsia. It is such a creamy magenta-pink that looks so pretty on the lips. I will feature a look using this color soon. Red Revolution is a vibrant red cream that is great for those festive events that are coming soon. Fever Fuchsia is a bubblegum pink cream that may look great on cooler skintones, but mine is much too warm for this. Pink & Proper is a pink frost which is a little too frosty for my taste, and Pink Satin is a peachy pink that looks quite warm on the skin.

I personally prefer the creams of the Color Sensational to the frosty or shimmery kind. The creams are very pigmented and creamy- just the way I like it. I am glad that Maybelline still makes great lipsticks- the way I remember then when I started using them way back. Most of all, these babies are affordable. I also like the fact that these are moisturizing, they don't leave my lips chapped and dry. The only downside is that you have to reapply these a few times a day as they are not as long lasting as other lipticks. However, the moisturizing properties make up for this, and I prefer to coat my lips with a fresh layer of lipstick after meals anyway, so I don't mind.
