Top to Bottom: Turquoise Blue, Purple, Bronze, Black
Turquoise Blue, Purple, Bronze, Black
I am not usually a fan of pencil liners except on the waterline and tightline. I prefer gel or liquid liners on the upper lashline because I want sleek, precise, immaculate lines. Other pencil liners would tug on the lids and just create messy lines because they don't glide as smooth and as buttery as gel liners. Well, I think gone are the days when I would loathe applying pencil liners.
Black, Bronze, Purple
Turquoise Blue
NYX came up with these new retractable eye liners that are as pigmented and smooth as they are mess-free. They don't need to be sharpened and glide like a dream on the lids. They are creamy and buttery-smooth and don't tug on the lids at all. Hurray for smooth, creamy pencil liners! The only thing I don't like about retractable pencils is that you wouldn't know when you are about to run out. I would probaly fix this dilemma by just getting a back-up.
As you can see in the swatches, the shades are very rich and pigmented. Purple is the only one I noticed that was not as color-saturated as the others, but it still packed a punch. I love the black one because it is really an intense carbon black. Great for smokey eyes or for tightlining to create lush-looking lashes. The best part is that it did not budge the entire day. Of course, I used an eye primer prior to application. I am really impressed with these pencils, and they retail for only $4.50 with 18 different shades to choose from.
The Shades Of U Rating: 4.8 out of 5 stars
