Lady Grey Quad: All Races (matte), Tendersmoke (frost)
Lady Grey (S), Hazy Day (Veluxe Pearl)
This is such a massive collection! Here is another installment of the MAC Me Over items. This time, here are some swatches of the Lady Grey quad. At first, I really didn't like the shades; they seemed too drab in color. When I swatched them, though, it dawned on me that these were the shades I've been looking for - subtle for daytime, perfect for the office, but buildable colors if you want to use them for a night out on the town.
All Races, Tendersmoke, Lady Grey, Hazy Day
These are beautiful, subtle colors that I really appreciate. I've had my share of vivid, bright, bold colors, so to have these in my stash is great since I can always reach for this quad on a daily basis. All Races is a repromote from the All Ages, All Races, All Sexes collection. It is a matte cool light taupe mauve. Great as a lid or crease color. The matte finish is a special treat for me, as I don't have too many matte shadows.
Tendersmoke is a light frosted lilac that is perfect on my crease as shown on my look below. Love that it is a light color but also worked well on the crease.
Lady Grey is a pretty frosted green-grey in the satin formula. I loved it as my lid color below.
Hazy Day is my favorite. It is such a gorgeous mid-tone grey. The veluxe pearl finish is a great bonus. Very rich and glides on buttery on the skin.
Lady Grey on lid, Hazy Day and Tendersmoke on crease and outer V, Avenue fluidline on upper lashline
I wore this to work and it really created a very pretty neutral eye look.

Outre, Satin Taupe, Mythical
These shades are right up my alley because of their earthy and neutral palette. Mythical is the only one that is not too neutral, but can be used to spruce up boring browns and beiges. It is a frosty coppery red in the veluxe pearl formula. Satin Taupe is one of MAC's popular shadows from the permanent line. It is your quintessential shimmery taupe shadow. I am glad I have this now in a pot, because two of my Satin Taupes are in holiday palettes or limited edition quads. Outre is a matte dirty mustard that is a little similar to Ochre Style from a limited edition collection. It's also a matte so that's another plus for me. Moleskin is a matte nude brown that would be great as a transition color, to blend gradient colors to achieve a nice, seamless eye look.
The presence of mattes and veluxe pearl shadows in this collection is great because I love these two finishes. The shades are typical of the fall palette of a lot of makeup and nail polish companies this season: very murky, dusty, earthy shades. I was not that enthused with this palette in nail polish, but when it comes to eye shadows, I am loving them very much. I love the soft, dusty shades that can be a nice soft touch during the day, but can be intensified at night. I especially love the Lady Grey quad, the shades were such a nice surprise when worn. I would recommend this quad if you just need to get one item. Satin Taupe is a must-have, but it's from the permanent line so it's not a very urgent thing to own it.
The Shades Of U Rating: 4.25 out of 5 stars

The Lady Grey quad shades all kinda look the same in the pan, but in your swatches I can see they're all quite unique and multifaceted :) thanks for the swatches!
