Review after the jump
It's summer time, and we're out in the sun donned in our sexiest swimsuits, so we can't be caught with some fuzz down there, can we? Sometimes waxing is out of the question (for those times when we can't do it ourselves and we were not able to book that appointment with our waxer), so we have to shave down there. Personally, though, I don't like shaving in the bikini area because I hate, hate, hate the itchy feeling after shaving. I've always associated shaving down there to excruciating, nasty red bumps and painful ingrowns. Shaving the bikini area is especially sensitive and downright painful, and red bumps are also expected.
Good thing that there are actually products out there that aim to diminish our discomfort every time we shave the bikini area. I had the chance to try the Bikini Zone Anti-Bumps Shave Gel, which claims to fight bumps and reduce irritation. I like the light, fresh scent, and it has soothing botanicals to calm irritated skin. It felt soothing and refreshing on the skin upon contact. It also worked well with my razor in removing unwanted hair. Let me say that it actually prevented nasty red bumps from surfacing. If you shave frequently, you can definitely use this, and you can even use this product on your underarms to prevent those small ingrown hairs from surfacing. If you are scared of itchy, nasty red bumps from shaving, the Bikini Zone Anti-Bumps Shave Gel can be a handy companion for this summer. Take note that it will NOT totally eliminate the nasty bumps, but probably reduce them to around 50-70%. I use this on my underarms too and I like it, it seems to slow down the growth of hair, so I don't shave as often.
