Here is a new addition to the Yves Saint Laurent Volupte lipstick line- the new Volupte Sheer Candy comes in six delicious variants and, as the name suggests, quite sheer but loaded with moisturizing properties. The innovative formula consists of 35% lip care ingredients. YSL claims that the lips are hydrated immediately and eight hours after application - how cool is that?

I was able to try one of the variants of the Volupte Sheer Candy, Juicy Grapefruit. Packaging is typical YSL- sleek, luxurious, and truly eye candy.
Apart from the fact that this product is chock-full of moisturizing properties, YSL claims that the lips are 47% smoother after application and 21% after 4 weeks of use, and that lips appear 19% fuller and fine lines are reduced immediately after application. Such lofty claims, eh? The minute I tried it on, though, I was hooked. I was simply surprised at how amazing it felt on the lips. This just truly pampers the lips with moisturizing properties. It soothed my dry, chapped lips.
Juicy Grapefruit
This is totally sheer on me and earned zero points when it comes to pigmentation. In terms of moisturizing properties, however, this is a workhorse. It just slathers the lips with moisture. My lips stayed hydrated for a long time, although I can't really say for eight straight hours because eating and drinking take off most of my lip products anyway.
I haven't been using this daily to confirm the long-term claims, but I will update this review as soon as I've tested this product long enough. Suffice it to say that it really makes my lips moisturized, evens the texture, and preps the lips for the application of lip products. You can say this is an expensive lip balm, but I prefer to call it a lip treatment. If you are looking for a lip treatment that will truly pamper your lips and give a smoother appearance to your puckers, check out this product. It can be expensive if you want pampering moisture and smoother appearance for your lips, it may be worth the price tag.
