L-R: Fox in a Box bronzing duo, Lash Ink, Sheer Envy Primer
Here are some exciting new products from Hard Candy, and I will be dishing out individual reviews of these. For now, though, I will focus on the Sheer Envy Skin Perfecting Primer. Hard Candy actually has two variants of Sheer Envy- the primer and the tinted moisturizer. The latter has four shades, while the primer only comes in clear. The Skin Perfecting Primer helps to even out the skin while reducing shine at the same time. It improves the application of makeup, blurs imperfections, and of course, makes your makeup last the whole day.
Swatch and review after the jump
Sheer Perfecting Primer blended
As you can see from the swatch above, once blended into the skin, the primer helped to even out the skin and preps the skin for makeup application. Notice how even and flawless the skin on the back of my hand looked after I applied the primer. It diminished the fine lines and just created a good canvas for foundation.
This product is silicone-based, so if you are allergic to or if you break out using silicone products, this is not for you. Unlike other silicone-based primers, though, the price for this one is very affordable. It comes in a 1.3 oz tube for $8! It is almost a quarter of the price of other brands. If you are on a budget but would still like a good makeup primer to keep your face matte and your makeup flawless and long-lasting, take a good look at the Hard Candy Sheer Envy Skin Perfecting Primer.
Pros: Long-lasting, evens out skintone, blurs imperfections, mattifies skin, very affordable
Cons: not for silicone-sensitive skin.
All in all, this is terrific value for your money. If your skin is not sensitive to silicone, you may want to look into this product. I will be posting pictures of my makeup wearing this primer in upcoming entries.
The Shades Of U Rating: 4.25 out of 5 stars

I bought this and the illuminating version of this primer, I prefer the illuminating because this skin perfecting one seems to come off in pieces on my skin and not adhere as well. Have you tried the illuminating one? (it's in the purple bottle).
Justine- I have noticed some "balling up" but I try to use just a little and apply on my face in light, patting motions. I have not tried the illuminating one yet!
