A lot of us has fallen in love with Tarte's cheek stains, but the company has come up with a new blush product that is made with their signature ingredient, the Amazonian clay. These are solar-baked blushes infused with the amazonian clay that is nutrient-rich: it has Vitamins C and E, beeswax, mineral pigments and the clay. Tarte claims that this product is completely intuitive: it minimizes oil in and around pores if you have oily skin, and hydrates skin naturally if you have dry skin.







As you can see from the swatch, it has a beautiful, soft matte texture. It is not splotchy on the skin and applies quite evenly. I have used this on my cheeks, but since I have only used it twice, I cannot comment as to the claim that it reduces oil on the skin/hydrates it (depending on your skin type). I did notice however that staying power was good. It lasted the entire working day on a balmy 80-degree day. Pigmentation is amazing- be very careful in applying this as you can get clown cheeks if you apply too much. Be sure to blend with a kabuki or bronzer brush to soften the look.

Amused is a bright pink that is not too cool for my warm complexion, so I am really liking it. If you want more shimmer, you can always add a highlighter on your cheekbones. As for pigmentation, though, you can rely on this amazonian clay blush to deliver the goods.

All in all, I am impressed with this product. I am a huge fan of Tarte's Amazonian Clay brow mousse, so I am always excited to try products with amazonian clay infused in them. The amazonian clay 12-hour blush will last you a long time as a little goes a long way. The name speaks for itself - 12-hour blush means that the product will last the whole day on your cheeks. The fact that it is also formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates and synthetic fragrances is a huge plus in my book.
