Soft Smoky Plum Eye Look and Tutorial Using MAC Palace Pedigreed Quad

I have been shopping my stash and there are some pretty stuff that I haven't used in quite a while! I love smokey plummy looks, so here's one using the Palace Pedigreed eyeshadow quad from the MAC Fabulous Felines collection of last year.


Ava (top)

To give the shadows a richness and depth that normally is difficult to achieve by just applying shadows straight on the skin, I used Sue Devitt Eye Intensifier Pencil in Ava, a rich purple.



I also used MAC Shale shadow for this particular look. I haven't used this shadow in a long time so I forgot how pretty it is.



I also used MAC Nocturnal shadow for the crease and outer V.

Here is a step-by-step. All products MAC unless otherwise stated.


Apply Urban Decay primer potion in Eden all over lid, browbone and lower lashline. Apply Sue Devitt intensifier pencil in Ava on lower lid.


Using a stiff shader brush, apply Palace Pedigreed over Ava and all over lid. Using the Sonia Kashuk blending brush, apply Shale on outer lid.


Blend the 2 colors with the 224 brush.


Using the same SK blender brush, apply Nocturnal on outer V.




Blend harsh edges with the 224.


Using the Essence of Beauty large shader brush, apply a light pink shimmer shadow to highlight the browbone. Apply liquid liner on upper lashline (I used Penultimate liner in Rapidblack).


Apply falsies and mascara. Tightline upper lashline with a black pencil liner.


Using a detail brush, apply Shale on lower lashline. Apply Stila Topaz kajal liner or a flesh-toned liner on waterline.
