Nail Stamp Art Using China Glaze Tronica Nail Polish in Digital Dawn
Thursday, March 10, 2011
So remember when I received the XL image plates a few days ago? I used XL plate "D" for the images:
I used the bottom left image.
My base color is China Glaze in Digital Dawn from the Tronica collection. It's a nice burnt orange holo, very pretty. I used Konad special polish in Black, which was probably a mistake. I didn't like the overall nail look because the image was too dark. It would have been nice if I didn't use a stark black polish for the image. A lighter grey or pewter would have worked better. I added red rhinestones to add some dimension to the polish. Not a favorite, but at least I found out that the XL plates do work wonderfully.

Where can i get these xl plates frm?????
Sugar- I got them at magnonails.de
I like the black! I guess if you had wanted a more subtle pattern, a lighter konad would have been better, but I think the contrast looks great.
I think the black makes it look like lace! I like it! It makes Digital Dawn look good. I don't know about you but this sort of warm rusty peachy colour looks off on me personally but your konad-ing has made it look really good. Though, Digital Dawn doesn't look holographic at all. In fact from the swatches I've seen, they look like glitter polishes beside the OMG and Kaleidoscope polishes (most of which I own... except the super warm colours). It's weird, I can tolerate warm colours on my hands but if I wear them on my feet, it makes me feel nauseous.
Digital Dawn is kick ass... I might need to seek it out.
Sylvie- Thank you! :) As to the questionable holo, they call this holo "non-linear" in nail board lingo, where the small particles do NOT form vertical lines up a nail and breaks into a rainbow of color. Digital Dawn is made up of holographic glitter but does not form that "linear" line.
Jennifer Leigh- love it! such a unique shade in my stash.
Leah- aww thanks!! It does look okay in pictures, but in person, the stark black looked like there's dirt on my nails...
