Caudalie Vinosource Quenching Sorbet Creme Review

I was given the chance to try a creme that is made specifically for dehydrated and/or sensitive skin. I was pretty intrigued with the product because not every product out there touts itself as specifically for hyper-sensitive skin. Stabilized grape-seed polyphenols are the main ingredient, and it is important to note that grapeseed is a powerful anti-oxidant. It has organic grape water that Caudalie claims increases hydration to up to 127%. The company also claims that it contains Vinolevure®, an extracted molecule from the walls of the wine yeast during the wine-making process that conserves 100 times its weight in water and has moisturizing and protective qualities.
Since I've always believed that grape seed can do wonders for the skin because of its anti-oxidant properties, I was quite excited to try this product.
I love that it felt so light on the skin, and yet I could feel that the moisturizing properties were in effect. It definitely moisturized the skin and made it soft and supple without making it feel and look greasy. It has a light pleasant scent that's not cloying.
The Vinosource Quenching Sorbet Creme has 0% parabens, mineral oil, phthalate, or animal by-products. This made me glad because I have very sensitive, acneic skin. The lesser preservatives or skin irritants in the skin product I use, the better. It also has chamomile tetrapeptides that calm irritated skin.
You can use this product during the day or evening by applying to the face and neck. I like to use this at night after I apply my retinoids and Vitamin A and C serums to moisturize and condition the skin.
I really like this creme - light, easy on the skin, but effectively moisturizes. The only downside is that it does not contain SPF. I guess if you opt to use this during the day, you need to apply a layer of sunblock over this to protect your skin from the sun's harmful rays. The anti-oxidant benefits of grape seed polyphenols make it worth this extra step.
The Sorbet Creme retails for $40 and is available at the Caudalie Vinotherapy Spa at The Plaza, Sephora, Blue Mercury, Space NK, select Nordstrom, and Caudalie-USA.com.
